,Mary Nguyen, founder of BlueDoor Equity, started her real estate investing career by purchasing her first home in 2002. Her experience includes fix and flip, hard money loans, commercial retail, and turnkey single family. Desiring to scale up, she discovered the power of syndications. She began investing in self-storage, multifamily, and in ATM machines. Her portfolio includes over 1,000 doors, 1800 self-storage units, and ATM machines across many states.
Mary graduated cum laude from Claremont McKenna College and studied at the Universidad de Barcelona for an academic year. She was selected as a Riordan MBA Fellow at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. Her work experience includes management consulting at Accenture where she worked with a number of Fortune 500 clients, project management for tech startups and for Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC). While at SOSC, she grew its health initiative to be one of the largest programs in the world. Mary transitioned into medical sales after experiencing such success. A seasoned sales leader, Mary has been recognized for consistently ranking as a top Account Executive. In her spare time, she organizes ski trips across the US and adventures through 47 countries (and counting)!
Powell Chee, a native of California, focuses on affordable out-of-state multifamily markets with solid returns. The foundation of his success is his ability to constantly build a strong network of local market specialists and out-of-state investors. His portfolio includes over 1000 doors as a General Partner, spanning across 5 markets. He holds two master’s degrees, and also leads MultiFamilyMasters, one of the fastest growing multifamily meet-ups in the world. Powell is an award winning sales executive, achieving the top honor of President’s Circle Award winner for a fortune 500 company.
Won Yang is an entrepreneur from the heart, and a US army vetern. He started a specialty clothing company after leaving the army with an honorable discharge. He built the company from ground up, generating over $3 million in annual revenue within 2 years. Won’s real estate investing experience includes a $6 million portfolio of industrial/flex space. Together with his business partner, his multifamily portfolio spans across 5 markets as a General Partner in over 1000 doors. Won was born in South Korea but moved to Argentina at the age of 7. He is fluent in Korean, Spanish, and English.
Annie Dickerson, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at Goodegg Investments, has invested in multifamily real estate since 2008. Her current portfolio spans multiple markets around the country and includes both active and passive investments. GoodEgg Investments syndicated over 8400 multifamily units, worth over $739M. Annie specializes in strategic brand initiatives, investor education, and marketing. Annie is a co-creator of the online courses Real Estate Accelerator and Passive Real Estate Investor Academy, co-host of the Investing For Good podcast, and co-author of the book Investing For Good: How To Build Wealth While Also Making An Impact. Annie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and currently lives in Oakland, CA, with her husband and two boys.
Julie Lam, co-founder and CEO of Goodegg Investments, has been investing in real estate since 2009. During that time, she focused mostly on buy-and-hold rentals, private lending, and passive and active investing through real estate syndications. GoodEgg Investments has syndicated over 8400 multifamily units, worth over $739M.
Julie focuses on alternative investment strategies to grow her wealth, that allow her to leverage money and time so she can spend more time with her 3 children. Prior to transitioning full time to real estate, Julie spent over 7 years working in Silicon Valley at one of the most prestigious law firms in the world. She received her B.A. in Technical and Professional Writing from San Francisco State University and also attended law school in San Francisco, CA.
